Dame Rosie Winterton presented a cheque by way of a donation of £2,500 from the members of UNITE the union to Paula Walker and Jo Ritson from South Yorkshire Asbestos Victims Support Group (SARAG) to help support the voluntary work they do in Doncaster, supporting Asbestos victims and their families.

SARAG provide support and financial advice for people in Doncaster and the surrounding area who are currently suffering, and for families whose loved one has died, as a consequence of working or being in an avoidable hazardous environment.

Dame Rosie said “I was pleased to have had the opportunity to meet Paula and Jo and thank them for the work they do on behalf of asbestos victims, they really do make a real difference to people’s lives.”
