Dame Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central visited a Yorkshire and Humber Shared Future project at the Doncaster Unitarian and Christian Church and met with children and young people from all faiths who had come together on a school holiday project, organised with the help of the Doncaster 71st Hunafa Scout Group,
where they put together gifts that will be sent to refugee children in Greece.

Dame Rosie said “This project is an excellent example of the positive work done by faith communities working together across Doncaster and I was delighted to meet with the children and see how creative they were in making their gifts.”

The Yorkshire and Humber Shared Future Project, brings together nearly 200 people from the Muslim, Christian, Sikh and other faiths, supporting the integration and engagement of different faith communities with the different refugees and asylum seeker communities in Doncaster.
