Kellogs today held their Annual Breakfast Club Awards in Parliament, an event to celebrate the important contribution that breakfast clubs make to children and families, as well as the hard work of parents and teachers in running them.

Sandringham Primary School Breakfast Club from Doncaster has won ‘Best Breakfast Club in Yorkshire & the Humber’ and, as a regional winner, will receive £1,000 worth of extra funding from Kellogs towards their club.

Dame Rosie Winterton, MP for Doncaster Central, met with Mandy Kean – Learning Mentor, together with Dawn Quinn and four children from the breakfast club, to offer them her congratulations on their achievement and said  “Breakfast Clubs provide so many benefits from improved attendance and attainment to tackling hunger in the morning and providing pre-school care.  I am delighted that Sandringham Primary School have been recognised for the excellent work they do through this thoroughly deserved award, well done.”
